Julie Chen Moonves will host the summer hit reality series Big Brother. The show returns to CBS on 5 August for the third season. Chen Moonves has been a part of The Talk since 2010, where she was moderator and host. The real love of her life was writing, and she was awarded an Emmy. Her excellent talk show won the host an Emmy. The Talk examines contemporary events, through the lens of five female hosts. Chen Moonves hosted CBS News the early morning news program The Early Show for a 10 years. Her prior roles included anchoring CBS Morning News and The Early Show. Chen Moonves was tasked with reporting from Cairo in the aftermath of the terrorist attacks of 9/11. There, she tracked down and talked to the father who commanded hijackers for an eye-opening and interesting interview. Chen Moonves is a journalist who has worked with newsmakers such as the former New York City City Mayor Rudy Giuliani. Queen Rania as well as former Defense Secretary William Cohen and Denzel Washington. Chen Moonves is also a CBS Sunday Morning reporter who has profiled stars such as Jamie Lee Curtis. Before The Early Show she was a reporter with WDTN TV Dayton in Dayton in the state of Ohio (1995-1997). When she was finishing her last semester at University, she served as an assistant at ABC News in Los Angeles (1990-1991) as well as the producer of ABC NewsOne (the network's affiliated news program). Her first position in broadcasting was as a desk associate for ABC News' late-night broadcast Nightline along with Ted Koppel, who remains one of her journalists' idols. Chen Moonves worked with Koppel on the Columbia du-Pont-winning premiertime show, Anatomy of a Riot in 1992, which focused on the Los Angeles riots.
